What lies beneath?

I loved this incredible maple tree, so mighty and sturdy... or was it?

This tree that stood in my friend's backyard throughout her life had the appearance of strength and stability, but upon closer look was diseased and crumbling.

This tree is an incredible example, because people can be exactly the same... sturdy and strong on the surface, but crumbling within.

Not one of us knows what the person next to us is dealing with. Refrain from judgment.
